NEW HOUSING NEEDED FOR TRAINEES, CONSULTANTS AND FACULty

With the size and scope of the work of the CTC, more housing is needed near the hospital for our current cardiothoracic trainees, faculty and visiting staff and their families. A site has already been secured, and an experienced foreman is ready to begin the project. A master plan for additional housing to meet the needs of the fully operating Cardiothoracic Centre has been developed. We are now working to raise $2 million for an apartment building with 16 apartments and the infrastructure to support the full housing complex. Once we raise $4 million, we will be able to complete Phase 1 with two apartment buildings,  a community center with a preschool for children of trainees, and new visiting staff quarters. This is currently a crucial need!

The new apartments will be very similar to the first ones built. To attract the best trainees and consultants, we need to be able to provide quality housing and help cultivate a sense of community for their families.
